President Abraham Lincoln and his son Tad.

The most written about person in American history is Abraham Lincoln. Our articles cover all aspects of his life: from gawky rail-splitter to national icon. Although the first Republican president, Lincoln is criticized in some articles for being a proponent of “big government” and a “destroyer of the Constitution.” Members of Lincoln’s cabinet as well as the Congress and state legislatures are described here, as are Jefferson Davis, the first and only president of the Confederacy, and the politicians who made up the Confederate Congress and rebel state governments.
