Books examining the world of Islam have proliferated in recent years. Some are good, others superficial or sloppy. This section contains a shelf-ful of really good ones, both fiction (by Muslim authors) and nonfiction. The nonfiction works deal with such topics as Islamism, the Saudi monarchy's alleged role in radicalizing some Muslims, Islam's core values, the roots of Middle East terrorism, and an analysis of religious fundamentalism.
